Are There Really That Many Bicycles?

From the bad girls to the good girls, I love em all.  It’s the voice that matters really, and Kaite has one of the most beautiful, unrestrained and effortless set of pipes I’ve ever listened to.  She certainly cultivates a different image from the one Amy of my last post presents.  It’s true, that there’s something about a well grounded singer that appeals to me and is reflected in their music.  Katie’s music is not as edgy and dark, but still maintains a sense of intelligence and pop sensibilities.  And, I mean that in a good way.  I’ve never had a problem with pop music that appeals to a more mainstream crowd.  While I must admit that the exotic and edgy stuff has ad appeal, sometimes real life has enough of that grit.  And those are the times, when I need someone that’s simply going to make me feel better.

Music that touches the inner romantic in all of us is a great thing.  And, whether we admit it or not, we all need it sometime.  Music feeds all our souls, and the soul is a complicated organ.  Sometimes, it needs to be punched out, smacked silly, and then sometimes it just needs to be propped up.  Music from all different artists is required for a task like this.  That’s why my music collection has Amy Winehouse, Katie Melua, Bob Marley, Nickleback and Chopin in it.  Life is interesting that way , don’t you think?
